Skara Brae
I ain't never scared!
This week on system analysis, Skara Brae, the guy brought me in with his descriptions of “high” elves in his accountant isekai. I consider the guy like a better comedy writer than my, but with less of a good mustache.
(1) How'd you come up with this system?
For Stratigos of Dark Magic,I had the idea for magic that’s based on how much people like you. Or, more accurately for the main character’s magic, how much people feel negative emotions towards you.
(2) Was it based off a game you played and loved or a book?
Yes. It is heavily inspired by Persona, and there are even things like social links in the system.
(3) Is the math a constant obstacle for you?
It’s mostly just keeping track of what numbers are where. The math itself is fine.
(4) What are the main skills and why did you choose those?
There aren’t really any skills. It’s more like the amount of people who feel negative emotions towards the MC powers his magic and lets him use more powerful spells.
(5) Did you make the system first or work through the plot first?
I made the system first.
(6) Is there anything you wish you had done differently?
Not really. I could probably do some things better, but I’m not sure what.
(7) What's a "level up" in your system?
For the MC, the level up isn’t any set number. It’s just getting enough people to feel negative emotions towards him that his magic gets more powerful.
What are you currently working on?
Stratigos of Dark Magic, in terms of LitRPGs. Though, I will warn potential readers that the LitRPG elements are very light compared to other LitRPGs.
